The paralympics are an elite sports event for athletes with disabilities. Jean Driscoll is associate director of development in the College of Applied Health Sciences. She has competed in the paralympics herself and has been instrumental in bringing these athletes to America.
Coaches from Ghana are in the process of raising money for a training facility, which would make it more convenient for those athletes who want to train at home.
Ann Coultas spoke with Jean Driscoll about her the athletes and preperations for the 2008 paralympics in Beijing.
