A 19-year-old woman reported that she had been sexually assaulted by four men, said Urbana Police Lt. Bryant Seraphin, although the location of the incident is still unknown.

Officers were dispatched to Provena Covenant Medical Center, 1400 W. Park St., Urbana, at 4 a.m. Saturday, said Seraphin.

After having gone to the bars, the woman said she met a man who took her to his residence, said Seraphin. In the man’s bedroom, three other men joined in sexually assaulting her, the woman reported to police.

After the alleged sexual assault, the woman reported that the first man took her home.

Her friends then took her to the hospital. The Urbana police are continuing their investigation. There have been some developments, Seraphin said, although he was not willing to elaborate.
