A 27 year-old Champaign man was injured Thursday night after being shot in the leg at his home on the 1200 block of Joanne Lane, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at 9:38 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.

The victim was immediately transported to an area hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.

Police are still searching for the suspect, who had already fled the scene when officers arrived.
