Champaign

  • Theft was reported at Baytowne Apartments, 1000 Baytowne Drive, Wednesday morning.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender stole about 10 pieces of two-inch copper tubing that is about 10 to 12 feet long the morning of July 21.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 15-year-old boy was arrested at Wal-Mart, 2610 N. Prospect Ave., Wednesday night.

    According to a police report, the boy was seen concealing a bottle of Bacardi vodka in his waistband.

  • Aggravated assault was reported at the 1300 block of north Hickory Street Wednesday night.

    According to a police report, a 17-year-old girl threatened to cut a 19-year-old woman and a 22-year-old woman with a knife she was holding. The suspect was arrested and taken to jail.

  • Residential burglary was reported at the 1300 block of Powers early Thursday morning.

    According to a police report, a 45-year-old man was woken by a black male suspect in his hallway. He fled the apartment with many items from the victim’s residence, including a silver chain bracelet, a gold ring, a Kenneth Cole silver watch, credit cards and a black leather wallet.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Urbana

  • Theft from a motor vehicle was reported at the 400 block of east Elm Street Tuesday night.

    According to a police report, a 19-year-old woman reported that she left her passenger’s side window open an an unknown offender stole a case full of CDs, money and a bag of tampons.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • Burglary was reported at County Market, 1819 S. Philo Road, Wednesday night.

According to a police report, a 50-year-old woman admitted to entering the business with the intent to steal food. She was stopped by employees after loading several packages of meat, two cantaloupes and a bottle of Spanish Quarter.

Police arrived and took the woman into custody.

  • A 17-year-old girl was arrested at the intersection of Lynn and Illinois streets Wednesday night.

According to a police report, the arrested was the passenger of a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic violation. She was found in possession of alcohol and is underage.

The girl was issued a notice to appear.

University

  • Damage to property was reported near Assembly Hall, 1800 S. First St., Champaign, sometime between 6 a.m. and noon Tuesday.

    According to a police report, the owner of a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero found the driver’s side mirror broken. Cost of repair is estimated at $75.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • Theft was reported at the Rehabilitation Education Center, 1207 S. Oak St., Champaign.

    According to a police report, an employee at the center had her wallet stolen from her purse sometime between 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and noon Wednesday. The wallet, estimated at $15, contained a driver’s license, other identification cards and debit and credit cards.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
