Green Street will be temporarily closed sometime Friday morning between Third and Fourth streets for construction crews to replace the motor in a crane that is working on the 309 E. Green St. apartment complex.

A helicopter will remove and replace the crane’s motor between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. Friday, according to a press release.

The work is scheduled to take between 20 and 30 minutes.

The street and sidewalks in the area will be closed for about an hour to allow the replacement to occur. During that time, traffic will be detoured, the release said.
