Linebacker Brit Miller was chosen as the winner of The Lott Trophy IMPACT Player of the Week, presented by Wachovia, according to a press release.

The award is given to players who exhibit characteristics of integrity, maturity, performance, academics, community, and tenacity.

Miller had 16 total sacks in last weekend’s game against Wisconsin. The award also includes $1,000 for the team’s general scholarship fund.

“Miller was a one-man wrecking crew against the Badgers. I have watched him develop into a real leader for their defense,” former Indiana coach Bill Mallroy said in the press release.
