Winning basketball games this season has improved more than just the Illini Men’s record. The victories have had a trickle-down effect on increasing ticket sales, according to Brian Amentt, ticket manager for Illini Men’s Basketball.

“We have seen some more single game tickets sold, mostly for the big ten conference games, at this point were already down to being able to sell just scattered seats in the crowd,” said Amentt.

Ticket sales usually see an immediate jump online after big victories, according to Amentt. He expects that the approaching gift-giving season could also boost sales.
