-The 8th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Countywide Celebration, Friday, Jan. 16 at 4 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1501 S. Neil St., Champaign. The keynote speaker is Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer, pastor, Faithful Central Bible Church, Inglewood, Calif., and University alumnus.

-Martin Luther King, Jr. Campus Community Celebration and Scholarship Program, Sunday, Jan. 18 at 5 p.m. at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts Foellinger Great Hall, 500 S. Goodwin Ave., Urbana. Sponsored by the Office of the Chancellor.

-Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast, Monday, Jan. 19 at 8:30 a.m. at The Vineyard Church, 1550 N. Lincoln Ave., Urbana. The event is free and open to the public.

-Reclaiming the Dream/History Makers, Wednesday, Jan. 21 at noon at the African American Cultural Center, 708 S. Mathews Ave., Urbana.
