Gov. Pat Quinn will be visiting the University on Feb. 18, said Richard Warner, director of the Office of Sustainability.

“The focus of the visit will be sustainability,” he said.

Quinn will be joined by Chancellor Richard Herman, the Office of Sustainability and members of the Student Sustainability Committee for a signing ceremony of the Illinois Sustainable University Compact. This document details the University’s short and long range sustainability goals.

Quinn may take a tour of a green certified building on campus and attend the basketball game that evening.
