Police investigate construction site thefts
February 19, 2009
University police are looking into theft that occurred at the Memorial Stadium construction site this past summer.
Lt. Roy Acree of the University police said that $12,000 worth of equipment was stolen from the site.
“There are three and a half pages of various items that were stolen,” Acree said.
Some of these items include guard rail posts, wire rope tie backs, harness ropes, and gate and ladder assembly equipment.
“We don’t have a lot to go on because we believe this took place back in August,” Acree said. “We’re trying to establish if there have been similar burglaries and thefts at other sites.”
