One local towing service reported business during two days of Unofficial weekend was ten times the amount of an average weekend.

Reynold’s Towing Service, located at 210 E. University in Champaign, towed a combined 250 vehicles last Friday and Saturday, said the business’s chief financial officer Susan Jepsen. During a normal weekend Jepson estimated that approximately 25 vehicles are towed.

“Most were from out of town and didn’t know the parking areas around here,” Jepsen said.

A tow operator at Andy’s Towing Service said the amount of tows last weekend was also above average, though not to an outstanding extent.
