The Cold Stone Creamery at 505 East Green Street announced in a press release that it now has a new franchise owner.
According to the release, the campustown location transferred from Eric Bussell to Brain Freeze, Inc, a locally-owned and operated investment company owned by Manoj, Rana Shenoy, Parag and Nina Shah.
The press release also announced that customers can expect the local Cold Stone to remain locally owned and operated, and some exciting expansion plans are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Manoj Shenoy said in the press release that they have plans to expand the Cold Stone Creamery presence off campus in the future and will also be offering ice cream cake delivery and catering at the current location. Shenoy also added in the release that they hope to open a Tim Hortons in Champaign as part of a partnership arrangement that the brand has with Cold Stone Creamery. The store will remain committed to raising money for local nonprofit organizations and has recently launched a new Fundraising Days promotion with a goal of raising $5000 for local charities this year.
According to the press release the former Franchise Owner sold the business to pursue other business ventures, but couldn’t be more excited for the new Franchise Owners.
