The University of Illinois Polilce received a report Tuesday from a victim who recounted the disorderly conduct and unlawful restraint of a male who tried to enter a locked stall inside the women’s restroom at Madigan Lab (1201 W. Gregory Dr. in Urbana) on Oct. 14.
The female victim said she noticed a man standing outside the stall door, which had been opened. She struggled to lock the stall as the offender pushed against the door and continued to attempted entry.
When another female entered the restroom, the offender went inside another stall and exited the restroom when the other female left. The victim said she was alarmed and disturbed by the incident. The offender’s motives are unknown, but the University Police is raising awareness and encourages women to stay alert.
The victim described the offender as a thin-build black male who is approximately 6’0 to 6’2 tall with dreadlocks in his black hair. The offender wore a black dress shirt with white stripes, blue jeans and black shoes. The offender has small scars, possibly from past acne.
