– An arrest was made on Tuesday just after 5 p.m. in the 400 block of Wright Street. According to the report, the 26-year-old subject was arrested for an outstanding city of Champaign warrant for failure to appear to face cannabis possession charges, and for an outstanding McLean County warrant for failure to appear to face unlawful alcohol possession charges.
– An international U. of I. student reported to police on Monday just after 3 p.m. that he was the victim of fraud following an attempt to purchase a vehicle online. The student filed the local report after being contacted by a U. S. Secret Service agent, who indicated the perpetrator of the fraud had been arrested in New Jersey. The student reportedly sent the man $34,000 for a vehicle through the Website cars.com.
– A U. of I. student was arrested for theft on Sunday just after 6 a.m. at Babcock Hall, 1002 College Court. According to the report, police were called after other residents accused her of stealing a cellphone.
