The Urbana Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened last week at a gas station.

A man entered Circle K, 1821 Philo Road, around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, pointing a gun at the clerk and demanding money. The clerk proceeded to open the cash register and handed over all of the bills to the robber, who fled south.

The robber is being described as a 6-foot black man, weighing approximately 220 pounds. Police say he was wearing a black mask, black long-sleeved shirt, black gloves and tan khaki pants.
