A University student died Friday night in a motorcycle versus automobile crash at the intersection of University and Lincoln Avenues.

Paul W. Davidson III of Lemont, Illinois was pronounced dead at 11:03 p.m. at Carle Foundation Hospital.

According to a press release from Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup, Davidson died from multiple traumatic injuries he received during the crash.

The Urbana Police Department and the Coroner’s Office are investigating this crash, though no autopsy will be conducted.
