A University student died Friday night after falling from Park Place Tower, 202 E. Green St.

Krzysztof J. Jablonskiof, 22, of Franklin Park, Illinois, was pronounced dead at 10:38 p.m. at the scene.

According to a press release from Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup, a preliminary investigation indicates that Jablonskiof “may have fallen or possibly jumped” from the building.

An autopsy is scheduled for later today and the Champaign Police Department is still investigating the circumstances of the student’s death.
