Police investigate Champaign robbery

The Champaign Police Department is investigating a robbery that took place around 2 a.m. Friday near First and Daniel streets, according to a Public Safety Advisory.

The victim was walking when he was battered and robbed by two to three offenders.

The offenders, who were described as black males in their twenties, were last seen driving west on John Street toward Locust Street in a blue or black hatchback type vehicle similar to a Nissan.
