The Daily Illini wins 1st in general excellence at ICPA

The Daily Illini placed first in general excellence at the Illinois College Press Association annual conference in Chicago this weekend. The award recognizes the best overall student news organization among daily student newspapers in the state of Illinois.
The Daily Illini staff also took home second place for special supplement for the Salary Guide print publication, third place in multimedia reporting for the Salary Guide online, and an honorable mention for best website.
In addition to the staff awards, The Daily Illini received 16 individual awards:
