Ebertfest announces lineup, Jason Segel attending as guest
March 26, 2015
The lineup for this year’s Roger Ebert Film Festival was announced Wednesday. The festival will take place from April 15 to 19 and all films will be screened at the Virginia Theatre in downtown Champaign.
Roger Ebert, who passed in 2013, is outlived by the festival, which his wife Chaz Ebert and festival director Nate Kohn now produce. Chaz will serve as the festival emcee.
This year’s festival is directed around character studies that Roger loved to “shine a light on gems that deserve to be discovered and praised by bigger audiences,” according to EbertFest’s website.
“The End of Tour,” screening on April 16, features Jason Segel, who will attend the festival as a guest. Jesse Eisenberg, Anna Chlumsky and Joan Cusack also co-star in the film.
Tickets are sold for $14 for each individual movie and go on sale April 1.
