Jarling’s Custard Cup, 309 W. Kirby Ave., will close Monday after it sells out of product.

 

The ice cream shop has operated in Champaign for 31 years, and current owners Doug and Christy Jarling are seeking new owners to eventually reopen the shop.

 

The owners announced they are looking for potential owners to whom they can sell the original recipes to ensure their establishment will “maintain the quality of product” upon reopening, according to a press release.
