Champaign

— Criminal damage to property was reported on the 200 block of Chalmers Street at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, materials were burned at a construction site.

— Theft was reported at Illinois Terminal, 45 E. University Ave., at 4 p.m. Saturday.

According to the report, a cell phone was stolen.

University

— A 20-year-old student was arrested on the charges of criminal damage to property and consumption of alcohol by a minor on the 900 block of South Locust Street at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, a police officer saw the student use a street sign pole to damage a motor cycle, which will cost around $360 to repair.

— A 19-year-old student was arrested on the charges of domestic battery, aggravated assault and unlawful restraint at lot C-3, 603 E. John St., at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, the police were called when witnesses saw the student yelling at and threatening someone.

— Criminal damage to property was reported at Loomis Lab, 1110 W. Green St., at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, someone cracked exterior glass causing around $500 in damages.

Urbana

— A 24-year-old male was arrested on the charges of unlawful use of a weapon, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving without a license on the 300 block of West University Avenue at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, the man was initially pulled over for illegal cell phone use, but was found to have brass knuckles in his posession. He had no proof of insurance and no valid drivers license.

— Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported at the 1700 block of Colorado Avenue at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, an offender entered and unlocked car and stole money.
