A westbound lane of University Avenue will close Monday Sept. 28 during working hours for construction, according to a press release sent out by the city of Champaign. Westbound traffic in the area will be reduced to one lane.

The lane closure is due to the installation of a storm sewer by DUCE Construction at the Latitude Project, 508 and 608 E. University Ave., between Wright and Fifth St.

The lane will be reopened at the end of each workday throughout the project and construction work is expected to be complete Friday Oct. 2. by 12:00 p.m.
