Champaign

  • A 20-year-old man was arrested on the charge of retail theft at the Walmart Supercenter, 2610 N. Prospect Ave., around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

According to the report, the offender stole a total of two household wares.

  • A residential burglary was reported in the 1300 block of Hollycrest Drive around noon Sunday.

According to the report, currency, a jewelry-necklace and one cellular phone were stolen from the residence.

University

  • A 45-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges at the Central Illinois Mosque and Islamic Center, 106 S. Lincoln Ave., around 1 p.m. Monday.

According to the report, the police were called to the Mosque for a domestic incident. The suspect kicked a police officer that was attempting to restrain him. He was charged with domestic battery, resisting arrest and battery to a police officer.

Urbana

  • Multiple suspects were arrested on multiple charges in the 900 block of Park Street around 11 a.m. Monday.

According to the report, three offenders forcefully entered a residence and stole items from the house. After fleeing the house, one offender was caught by officers and was located with the stolen items. The other two offenders were located coming out of the house and arrested. Two of the offenders were found to have had warrants out for their arrest. Charges were filed for residential burglary and resisting/obstruction/disarming of an officer.

  • A 33-year-old man was arrested on the charge of disorderly conduct in the 1900 block of Amber Lane around 1 p.m. Monday.

According to the report, the victim and offender are in a dating relationship and got into a verbal argument. The offender made advances towards the victim’s disabled son and the victim attempted to restrain the offender.
