Arrest warrant issued for Oct. 29 Neil Street shooting

Champaign Police have issued an arrest warrant for 26-year-old Kevin B. Cooper Jr. of Champaign for his involvement in a shooting on Oct. 29. Bond is set at $250,000 for the offense of aggravated discharge of a firearm.

The shooting occurred at 701 N. Neil St. in Champaign at 11:44 p.m. Police found evidence of gunfire, but no one was injured.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cooper are asked to contact the department at 217-351-4545.
