A 23-year-old female was arrested on the charge of aggravated domestic battery in the 2400 block of North Neil Street around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. According to the report, the offender battered and choked the victim and was then arrested.
A 27-year-old male was arrested on the charges of criminal damage to property, unlawful use of a weapon, armed violence and possession of a controlled substance in the 2600 block of West Kirby Avenue around 2 p.m. on Sunday. According to the report, the offender damaged the victim’s vehicle with a hammer. Officers received a search warrant after it was suspected that the offender was armed. The offender was arrested and a firearm was recovered.
University
A bicycle theft was reported at the Illini Union, 1401 W. Green St., between the days of Oct. 27 and Nov. 2. The victim’s bicycle was locked to a rack and was estimated to be valued around $1,500. As the police investigation progressed it was revealed that the bicycle had been sold online via an advertisement. The bicycle has been returned to the victim, but the identity of the offender is still unknown.

A retail theft was reported at Circle K, 1821 Philo Rd., around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. According to the report, the unknown offender had pumped gas into their vehicle and then left without paying.
A case of criminal damage to property was reported at Planet Fitness, 1809 Philo Rd., around 10 a.m. on Sunday. According to the report, an unknown offender had used an unknown object to shatter the rear windshield of the victim’s vehicle.
