Champaign
A burglary from a motor vehicle was reported in the 2500 block of West Springfield Avenue around 6 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, the unknown offender stole a cell phone and other electronic equipment from the victim’s vehicle.

A 20-year-old male was arrested on the charges of domestic battery, unlawful restraint and trespassing in the 200 block of Chalmers Street around 4:30 a.m. Saturday. According to the report, the offender trespassed into the victim’s residence, battered the victim and subsequently fled the scene. The offender was then located and arrested.

University
A case of credit card fraud was reported at Saunders Hall, 902 College Court, around 4:30 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, an unknown offender made unauthorized charges to the victim’s credit card. The account had been accessed via an auction website, and the total amount of unauthorized charges is currently unknown.

A 19-year-old female was issued a notice to appear in court for retail theft at the Illini Union Bookstore, 809 S. Wright St., around 7:30 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, the security personnel of the bookstore saw the offender attempt to leave the store without paying for a textbook, and subsequently called the police. The textbook’s value was around $90.

A theft was reported in the 700 block of West Green Street around 5:30 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, an unknown offender stole a package containing household wares that had been delivered to the victim’s apartment.

An attempted first degree murder was reported in the 1000 block of Austin Drive around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. According to the report, the victim had been shot by a handgun several times by an unknown offender. Officers found the victim in front of a residence and performed first aid before transporting the victim to a local hospital. The offender fled the scene before the officers arrived.
