Champaign

Criminal sexual assault was reported in the 00 block of East Green Street around 9:30 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the victim reported the 22-year-old male suspect touched her in a sexual manner.

Reckless discharge of a firearm was reported in the 500 block of South Staley Road around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the unknown suspect discharged a firearm in the area of the marathon bulk plant.

Multiple charges were reported in the 900 block of Beardsley Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle then pulled into a driveway and the occupants fled on foot. There was packaged cannabis located in the vehicle.

A domestic dispute was reported in the 400 block of West Park Street around 11 a.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the offender and the victim are currently dating and got engaged in an argument.

Theft over $500 was reported at Subway, 2740 S. Philo Road, around 4 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the offender stole cash through deception by over ringing customers or making fraudulent cash drops into the safe. These thefts have been occurring over several months, as far back as Jan. 1. The offender is a 30-year-old female.

A 20-year-old male was reported for retail-theft at Walmart, 100 S. High Cross Road, around 4 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the arrestee entered the business, concealed items and attempted to leave without paying for said items. One food item was reported stolen.
