The University’s undergraduate accountancy program ranked second out of 38 schools, according to U.S. News and World Report.
Brooke Elliott, accountancy department head, said the ranking is “a true reflection of our investments in our students, faculty and our curriculum.”
The undergraduate accounting program grants over 400 degrees every year, which accounts for nearly half of the College of Business’s population, Elliott said.
U.S. News and World Report ranks undergraduate business schools based on 15 indicators of academic quality, including judgment of deans, acceptance rates, financial aid and assessments by administrators at similar universities.
“We are continually investing in an innovative curriculum,” Elliott said.

A data analytics program was integrated into the accountancy master’s program, and Elliott said over the last 10 years, about 55 to 65 percent of undergraduates enroll in the master’s program.
“(Our) faculty are the best in the world,” Elliott said. “We really attract the highest quality scholars.”
