Champaign

Theft was reported at Menards, 620 W. Town Center Blvd., around 6 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, an unknown suspect exited with a knife that he did not purchase. There is limited suspect information.

Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported on the 00 block of Leichner Drive around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the victim’s unlocked vehicle was burglarized.

Domestic dispute and criminal damage to property was reported on the 1700 block of Valley Road around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the victim and offender have a child, and the offender damaged the victim’s cellphone during a verbal altercation.

Retail theft was reported at Meijer, 2401 W. Prospect Ave., around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the woman entered the business and took nearly $300 of merchandise.

University

A suspicious letter was reported at the Office of Student Financial Aid, 620 E. John St., around noon Tuesday. According to the report, a University employee received a suspicious letter with glitter inside with no other information or communication.

Theft was reported at Campus Circle, 1010 W. University Ave., around 4 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, an unknown offender stole the victim’s locked up bicycle from the apartment building.

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 2000 block of Philo Road around 3 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, an unknown offender damaged a second floor exterior window of the victim’s apartment.

Theft from a motor vehicle was reported on the 1600 block of Willow Road around 2 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, an unknown offender removed the front license plate and rear license plate sticker from his vehicle.

Theft was reported on the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue around 8 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the offender took the victim’s car.
