The Illinois primary election ended at 7 p.m. today. Gordy Hulten, county clerk, said more people voted early or by mail than four years ago.

Hulten said it is partly because many people voted early or by mail for the presidential election, since people rarely go back to voting at the poll stations on election day after trying the alternatives.

The primary elections usually have a lower voter turnout than the general election, Hulten said.

The results of this election are as follows:

Congressional Representative for District 13: Rodney Davis (R), Betsy Londrigan (D)
