Champaign
Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported on the 1400 block of West Clark Street around 8 a.m. Sunday. According to the report, the victim’s vehicle was burglarized and items including contact lenses, a computer and identification items were taken.
Deceptive practices were reported on the 900 block of Laura Drive around 2 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, an unknown offender used deception to obtain 17 Apple iTunes gift cards from the victims.
University
A state of Illinois notice to appear in court on charges of possession of more than 10 grams of cannabis was issued around 2 a.m. Saturday. According to the report, an 18-year-old male was the passenger in a vehicle, which was stopped for not having headlights on at night. After smelling the odor of cannabis, police searched the vehicle and the offender told the officers the cannabis was his.
Arrests were made on charges of resisting a police officer on the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue around 10 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, a 19-year-old male and an 18-year-old male were among a group of people smoking cannabis, and they ran from the police when they were ordered to stop.
Urbana
Theft was reported around Busey and Indiana Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, an unknown offender took a city stop sign without permission.

Forgery was reported at Einstein Brothers Bagels, 901 W. University Ave., around 8 a.m. Sunday. According to the report, an unknown offender used counterfeit U.S. currency as payment the previous day.
Theft was reported at Circle K, 809 W. Green St., around 10 a.m. Sunday. According to the report, an unknown offender drove away from the gas station without rendering payment.
