Champaign

Residential burglary was reported on the 100 block of Kenwood Road around 11 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, unknown offenders forced entry into the victim’s apartment and stole several items, including electronic equipment.

An arrest was made on charges of aggravated battery at Walmart, 2610 N. Prospect Ave., around 11 a.m. Wednesday. According to the report, a suspect sprayed several employees with pepper spray that she stole from the store.

University

An arrest was made on the 100 block of East Peabody Drive around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the 21-year-old male was arrested on charges of trespassing on state-supported land.

Urbana

Aggravated battery was reported on the 1700 block of Amber Lane around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the 22-year-old offender battered the 89-year-old victim by hitting the victim on the head.

Arrests on charges of controlled substance possession were made on the 300 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue around 3 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, officers observed one of the arrestees fail to use his turn signal. When officers followed the vehicle and made a traffic stop, they located crack cocaine, heroin and drug equipment. The passenger had two active warrants.

Residential burglary was reported on the 800 block of Kerr Avenue around 12 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, an unknown offender entered the victim’s apartment and removed an electronic gaming system and games from it.

Deceptive practices were reported at Crispin Auto Sales, 1010 N. Cunningham Ave., around 11 a.m. Wednesday. According to the report, a vehicle that had not been paid for after the sale was completed with the offender.

Aggravated battery was reported near University and Broadway Avenues around 8 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, an Urbana resident was shot with a pellet gun by an unknown offender while crossing the street.
