Residential burglary was reported on the 2400 block of North Neil Street around 7 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, the victim’s purse was stolen out of her apartment and later located.
Reckless driving was reported near John and Hollycrest Streets around 7 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, the victim fell off a moving vehicle driven by the offender.
An arrest regarding charges of retail theft was made at Macy’s, 2000 N. Neil St., around 6 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the 20-year-old suspect stole merchandise from the store.
Domestic battery was reported on the 2000 block of Ola Drive around 3 a.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the victom’s boyfriend battered her and then wrestled the phone away from her because he was aware she was calling 911. The offender allegedly fled the residence prior to the officer’s arrival. The victim had visible injuries.
University
A woman reported that several items, including electronics and textbooks, had been stolen from her unlocked vehicle at Carle Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, 2300 S. First St., between 9:20 and 11 a.m. Thursday. According to the report, the total estimated value of the stolen items is $540.

An arrest was made on charges of failure to appear in court near Springfield Avenue and Second Street around 6:30 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, the 20-year-old male arrestee was stopped because his vehicle’s registration was expired.
