Champaign
An arrest was made on the charge of burglary on the 500 block of Yalow Drive around 12:30 a.m. Monday. According to the report, the reporting party saw four men attempting to enter vehicles as they were walking down the street. The suspects fled when police attempted to make contact, but one of the four was apprehended.
An arrest was made on the charge of battery on the 00 block of South Sixth Street around 7:30 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the suspect battered the victim as they walked past each other on the sidewalk.
An arrest was made on the charge of theft at Meijer, 2401 N. Prospect Ave., around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the suspect loaded items onto her cart before leaving the store without paying. She was promptly arrested.
University
An arrest was made on the charge of driving under the influence of alcohol on the 00 block of East Green Street around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. According to the report, the arrestee’s vehicle was initially stopped for failure to obey a stop sign.
Criminal damage to property was reported on the 1900 block of First Street around 7 p.m. Friday. According to the report, the victim’s vehicle was found scratched. The approximate repair cost is around $100.

An arrest was made on the charge of failure to appear in court on the 00 block of East John Street around 7 p.m. Friday. According to the report, the arrestee was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for speeding.
Urbana
Theft was reported on the 400 block of East Michigan Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, an unknown offender stole a bicycle from the reporting party, who had been renting said bicycle for a year.
An arrest was made on the charges of unlawful restraint and criminal damage to property on the 200 block of East California Avenue around 10:30 a.m. Sunday. According to the report, the victim entered into a verbal altercation with the offender. The victim tried to leave their home in her vehicle, and the offender took her keys and threw them, preventing her from leaving. The offender broke the glass in the victim’s front door during the altercation as well.
Burglary was reported on the 1300 blocks of North Romine Street around 10 a.m. Sunday. According to the report, an unknown offender broke the victim’s door down, forcing entry into his home. There does not seem to be anything missing from the victim’s home.
