Burglary was reported on the 100 block of East Daniel Street around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, the victim reported his apartment had been broken into and a television and printer were taken. There were no signs of forced entry.
Deceptive practices were reported on the 00 block of Lemon Tree Drive around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, the victim was given a fraudulent check. The offender has not been located.
Battery was reported on the 4400 block of Ironwood Lane around 4 a.m. Saturday. According to the report, the victim was battered with a baseball bat and forced against the wall by the offender, who is her boyfriend.
University
Theft was reported on the 700 block of South Gregory Street overnight Saturday or Sunday. According to the report, the victim’s wallet had been stolen from her unlocked vehicle.
An arrest was made on the charge of theft at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Building, 306 N. Wright St., around 10:30 a.m. Saturday. According to the report, the suspect was identified as the person who had stolen a bicycle from a rack minutes earlier.

An arrest was made on the charge of driving under the influence of alcohol on the 800 block of South Fifth Street around 4:30 a.m. Friday. According to the report, the suspect was initially stopped for driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
Urbana
Burglary was reported on the 700 block of West High Street around 3:30 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the offender entered the victim’s locked bedroom and took several items from inside. The offender also stole several tablets of a controlled substance from a common area shared with the victim.
An arrest was made on the charges of battery and theft at Schnucks, 200 N. Vine St., around 3 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the suspect entered the store, concealed an item and attempted to leave without paying. A loss prevention officer stopped the suspect and brought him into his office. The suspect pushed and hit the officer in an attempt to leave.
An arrest was made on the charge of theft at Walmart, 100 S. High Cross Road, around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the offender stole 13 items without paying.
