Champaign

Theft was reported at Sally’s Beauty Supply, 2016 N. Prospect Ave., around 3 p.m., Saturday. According to the report, two unknown female suspects left the store without paying for four cosmetic items.

Identity theft was reported on the 500 block of Creve Coeur Drive, around 3:30 p.m., Saturday. According to the report, the victim’s name was used in an attempt to obtain a loan by an unknown suspect. It is unknown if the suspect obtained a loan in the victim’s name.  

Theft was reported on the 900 block of West Bradley Avenue, around noon, Sunday. According to the report, the victim’s mislaid cellular phone was stolen.

University

Theft was reported at Illini Union Bookstore, 809 S. Wright St., around 5 p.m., Monday. According to the report, the suspect attempted to leave the bookstore without paying for a $40 book. The suspect has been issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court.

Urbana

Theft was reported at Lincoln Lodge, 403 W. University Ave., around 5 p.m., Monday. According to the report, the victim claimed that the offender stole cash from the victim’s wallet while he was sleeping. The offender denied accusations and did not have the cash on her person. The victim and offender were staying at Lincoln Lodge together. The theft originally occurred Sunday.
