Aggravated battery and disorderly conduct was reported at Bottenfield Elementary School, 1801 S. Prospect Ave., around 5 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, police initially responded to reports of a female offender attempting to collect a child she wasn’t supposed to be around. The offender pushed and cursed at staff as she attempted to enter the school.
Forgery was reported at Security Finance, 823 Bloomington Road, around 2 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the local business reported a check being forged on its business account during an electronic transaction. The check was able to be stopped before any funds were lost.

Urbana
Theft was reported in the 100 block of Central Avenue, around 5 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, a package initially sent to the victim containing one clothing item was stolen by an unknown offender.
Theft was reported at CVS, 1818 S. Philo Road, around 4 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, an unknown offender took three bottles of liquor from the business without payment.

An arrest was made on the charges of domestic battery, resisting police, fleeing or attempting to elude police and driving under a revoked license was reported in the 1800 block of North Coler Avenue, around 3 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, a witness observed the suspect battering the victim. When police attempted to apprehend the suspect, he fled in his vehicle, crashed, then continued to flee on foot. The suspect was taken to jail and the victim was taken to a hospital for her injuries.
