Champaign

Aggravated battery and theft of lost or mislaid property was reported in the 400 block of East John Street, around 2 a.m. Tuesday. According to the report, an unknown offender battered two victims and stole one of the victims’ eyeglasses.

An arrest was made on the charge of retail theft at Walmart, 2610 N. Prospect Ave., around 4 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the suspect attempted to steal four items of merchandise from the business.

Aggravated battery was reported in the 100 block of North Walnut Street, around 1 a.m. Sunday. According to the report, an unknown offender battered the victim.

Urbana

Criminal damage to property was reported in the 700 block of West Elm Street, around 4 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the offender, who is the boyfriend of the victim’s roommate, urinated on and damaged several pieces of the victim’s property.

An arrest was made on the charges of violation of an order of protection in the 1200 block of South Vine Street, around 4 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the victim has an order of protection against the suspect, and she contacted him via text and phone calls. The suspect was transported to jail after her arrest.

Retail theft was reported at Freedom Oil, 1812 N. Cunningham Ave., around 11 a.m. Monday. According to the report, the offender concealed a beverage in her purse and attempted to leave the establishment without making a payment. The offender had fled by the time police arrived at the scene.
