After a crash on Neil Street at Stadium Drive on Nov. 20, one man was pronounced dead at Carle Foundation Hospital around 8 p.m. Monday, according to a Champaign County Coroner press release.

Mahomet native Kyle De Lap, 35, was reportedly driving on Neil Street when his car struck another car in front of him and eventually veered off the road, hitting a pole at the intersection. He died Monday due to the complications of injuries he sustained during the crash.

The driver of the other car was not seriously hurt.

According to the News-Gazette, the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup is still waiting on toxicology reports for De Lap.

No autopsy will be performed, according to the press release.
