While holiday traditions continue for people on and off campus, those at Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District have their own way of making sure traditions are kept on campus.

On Tuesday, MTD sent around two operators, one dressed as Santa and the other as an elf, to over 20 organizations around the community.

Santa and his helper started at Illinois Terminal around 7:40 a.m. as they greeted passengers coming through for their morning commute.

The stops after are not as scheduled and are more sporadic. However, they try to go to as many places as possible in an eight-hour day.
