Champaign
An arrest was made on the charge of criminal damage to property in the 200 block of West John Street around 2 a.m. Friday. According to the report, two windows on the victim’s front porch were broken by the suspect.
An arrest was made on the charge of violation of an order of protection in the 400 block of West Kirby Avenue around 8 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, the suspect, who had recently been arrested for battering the victim, and another inmate called the victim from jail in violation of the victim’s order of protection against the suspect.
Reckless discharge of a firearm was reported in the 100 block of Kenwood Road around 7 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, an unknown offender fired a bullet into the victim’s apartment through the ceiling. The bullet was recovered on the floor of the apartment and is currently being investigated.

An arrest was made on the charges of theft and possession of a stolen credit card at State Farm Center, 1800 S. First St., around 9 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, the suspect, a State Farm Center employee, was identified as the person who had stolen the victim’s wallet on Feb. 7 but claimed he was not working at the time. The wallet was returned to the victim via a lost-and-found but with cash missing and an unauthorized purchase having been made with the credit card.
An arrest was made on the charge of possession of fraudulent identification at the Public Safety Building, 1110 W. Springfield Ave., around 12:30 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, a University public safety telecommunicator found a fake identification card in the suspect’s wallet after a ride share driver turned the misplaced wallet in to the police.
Urbana
An arrest was made on the charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of liquor, unlawful use of weapons, bringing contraband into penal institutions and possession of a controlled substance at Steak ‘n Shake, 2009 N. Kenyon Road, around 3 a.m. Friday. According to the report, the suspect was arrested for driving under the influence after passing out while in control of his vehicle and showing significant signs of impairment. Police found the suspect to be in unlawful possession of brass knuckles and a controlled substance he brought into a Champaign County penal institution.
Theft was reported in the 1400 block of Briarcliff Drive around 5 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, the victim agreed over the internet to trade items with an unknown offender. After sending her items, the victim didn’t receive any of the offender’s items.
