The Krannert Art Museum will be closed to the public effective immediately, according to a press release sent by the museum. The decision is based off the announcement that Champaign County had its first documented case of COVID-19

In the email, it is unclear when the museum plans to reopen its doors.

“We regret the short notice, but this action is the most responsible one an arts instruction and public engagement unit can take to protect our visitors and our team.” Jon L. Seydl, director of Krannert Art Museum, said.
