An arrest was made on the charges of armed violence, controlled substance look-alike and manufacture controlled substance on the 1600 block of Rion Drive around 3 a.m. on Thursday. According to the report, the offender was knocking on the victim’s door. The offender was located by police and found to be in possession of a firearm and drugs.

University

An arrest was made on the charges of driving without a license, speeding, resisting a police officer and failure to appear in court on the 500 block of West University Avenue, Urbana around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. According to the report, the police initially stopped the offender for speeding, but then the offender ran from police. A taser had to be used to subdue the offender.
