Champaign

Criminal damage to property and aggravated assault were reported at the 1400 block of Westfield Drive around 11 a.m. on Wednesday. According to the report, several males ambushed the victim who owed one of them money. The victim fled and their residence was damaged by one of the suspects.

University

Deceptive practices were reported on Thursday by a University student. According to the report, the victim received an email that appeared to come from one of her professors asking her to buy gift cards and then send the card information to a third party. The professor then sent an email warning that he did not send the previous email. The student had already purchased the gift cards but had not sent the information.

Urbana

Criminal damage to property was reported at the 2000 block of Philo Road around 3 a.m. on Friday. According to the report, an unknown offender kicked and damaged an apartment entry door.
