Champaign

Aggravated discharge of a firearm was reported on the intersection of Fifth Street and East Columbia Avenue around 11:04 a.m. Sunday. According to the report, a shooting occurred at the location. There was possible suspect information, but no suspects have been taken into custody yet. 

Residential burglary was reported on the 3700 block of Harbour Estates Lane around 10:33 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, the victim was asleep at home when the unknown male offender entered the victim’s residence and stole money and medical equipment. 

University

Theft was reported by a student at the University around 11:34 a.m. on Sunday. According to the report, the student was on a Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District bus when his wallet was stolen. The offender then used the student’s debit cards to make transactions. 

Urbana

Theft, $500 and under, was reported on the 600 block of West Park Street around 1:37 p.m. on Sunday. According to the report, the unknown offender stole the victim’s wallet. 

Aggravated battery was reported on the 500 block of West Park Street around 7:05 a.m. on Sunday. According to the report, the unknown offender purposely coughed and spit onto the victim’s face at Carle Hospital.
