Campustown bar Joe’s Brewery reopened Thursday for happy hour at 5 p.m.. This comes after their decision to voluntarily close down beginning Sept. 2 in solidarity with the “University’s refocus on slowing the spread” of COVID-19 in the community. 

According to the bar’s social media, Joe’s Brewery opened up again after the management took into consideration the current trends of positive cases.

To be allowed entry to the bar, all patrons must present their Safer Illinois app “with at least a Yellow badge and with Bluetooth and location services turned on.” Only the outdoor area will open for patrons.
