University

Theft under $500 was reported at Hopkins Hall, 1208 S. First St. between 4 p.m. on Tuesday and noon Wednesday. According to the report, a University student said that their bicycle had been stolen. It had an estimated value of $250 and was locked to a rack.

Urbana

Aggravated battery was reported on the 1600 block of North Lincoln Avenue around 1 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the report, the victim and offender are acquaintances and they engaged in a physical altercation. The offender used a blunt object as a weapon and fled the area before police arrived.

Identity theft was reported on the 1100 block of Lanoe Drive at noon on Aug. 6. According to the report, an unknown offender opened an unauthorized credit account using the victim’s information.

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 500 block of Springfield Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, unknown offender(s) damaged a window of an Urbana apartment complex.
