Residential burglary was reported on the 400 block of East Clark Street around 10;47 a.m. on Wednesday. According to the report, the unknown offender entered the victim’s unlocked apartment and stole a prototype cell phone that is still in development.
Residential burglary was reported on the 600 block of South Sixth Street around 8:19 a.m. on Wednesday. According to the report, the suspect entered the victim’s apartment without permission and put on the victim’s clothes.
Criminal damage to property was reported on the 2500 block of Lawndale Drive around 3:59 a.m. on Monday. According to the report, the victim’s window was broken with a landscaping stone while the victim was asleep.
University
An offender was issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court for trespassing on state-supported property at the Illini Union Bookstore, 809 South Wright Street, around 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the report, the offender attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise.When the store security manager called police, the offender agreed to pay for the merchandise, but officers became aware that the offender was previously issued a no-trespassing notice for University property.
An offender was issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver on the 700 block of South Sixth Street around 1:41 p.m. on Nov. 10. According to the report, multijurisdictional Street Crimes Task Force police obtained a search warrant for the offender’s apartment after learning the offender was expecting a delivery of 112 grams of dimenthyltryptamine through the U.S. Postal Service. Police entered the apartment after watching the offender accept the delivery, and found additional drug packaging and controlled substance materials.
