Identity theft was reported on the 1800 block of Bohn Circle around 10 a.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, an unknown offender used the victim’s personal information to apply for a small business loan. The loan was denied and no money was taken. 

An arrest was made for manufacturing a controlled substance on the 1200 block of Redwood Drive around 3:21 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the Street Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant, during which they located drug packaging materials, 6.78 grams of heroin and $100 official advanced funds. The arrestee was taken to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office.

Deceptive practices were reported on the 2100 block of Burlison Drive around 12:09 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the unknown offender posed as the victim’s acquaintance via email, deceiving the victim into purchasing an Amazon gift card for an unknown offender.
